A quiet but pathbreaking activist, Ashkinazy has counseled gay and lesbian Orthodox Jews about reconciling “untenable contradictions” in their religious and sexual identities. Most recently, he’s leading a video storytelling project for Eshel, the New York-based organization which advocates for acceptance of LGBT Jews in Orthodox communities.”
What’s incredible and wonderful is that, seemingly every other day there’s another article in the Forward about gay and lesbian Jews! They seem to very strongly support our rights. Go Forward! We love you! You are bringing our issues to the forefront of the American Jewish community more than any other media vehicle we know. Thank you!
